Wow....

Wow.... So its been 3 months since i updated my blog!

That is really bad! 

Just here to basically let you know i am still alive! and i am infact doing things!

I am still Currently working on my Alice in wonderland Project! and it is starting to shape up nicely nicely!...

But you know when you start a project but it kind of doesnt turn into anything or you dont quite get it finished? Well i have.... a few.... of those! But today i am going to share with you some crazy cool Movie posters/ideas!

More Pop Culture, Merry Christmas YO!

MERRY CHRISTMAS YO!

So as it is Christmas tommorrow work has been very quite this week.... as it has been quite i thought it would be a good time to catch up on some more Pop Culture stuff!

I am Nintendo kid at heart, always have been. always will be. So these are a little bit nostalgic for me mostly but there is some Art theory behind it.

so let me explain.

In Scott McCloud's book Understanding Comics he says that the reason that cartoon are so successful is because we put a lot of ourselfs in the simple characters. we relate to them more for the reason. they almost become part of us. For example how i see and imagen Link from the Legend of Zelda is very different how you imagen him which is different from how another person imagens them.

In contrast to this, the more photo realisic the picture the less we relate because it is more factual and we really understand what it is we are looking at. it is the real world.

So i thought with a combaination of nostalga, cartoons and realisum would be interesting. I feel as if this work because of the elements i have just explained! PLUS its awesome! but let me know what you think???

also keep an eye out, I have some movie pictures i would like to get finished then il upload as well and of course!

Great Success

Hey Everybody!

So.... I have done my first Solo Exhibtion.. and as you may be able to tell it was a GREAT SUCCESS! i am so pleased! so very happy! and so excited for what the furture holds now!

Now of course the new projects!

I cant say to much because project of course. What i will say is there is lots more to come from Me and Clare Caswell in the furture and if it was not for Clare this would not have happened to big shout out to Clare once again. 

Some point in the next few weeks i am going to be doing some large scale monoprinting with Clare.

Monoprinting is a techniue that lends itself for much to my work!

Here is a example piece that i did in monoprint and photoshop for the show. So expect to see more stuff like this!

 Also... I have decieded that some of my new work may have to take a more politcal standing. 

with everything that has happened in the last 24 hours the world is a scary place right now.

No one knows what will happen next. All i know is a violent action will have a more violent reaction. 

The world is a shell of a bomb and we are the chemicals that can make it explode. 

My heart goes out to all of the innocents that have lost so much during this time.

 

 

Exhibtion!

Hello everybody!

Sorry i have been away for so long!
But you will be glad to hear i have not given up! i am in fact still doing work!
For example here is one of my more recent pieces....

So... these last few months have been pretty crazy and my life has changed a lot... Relationships and landscapes have changed... But i made it out the other side, still swinging and ready to bring the smack down!

So much so that I have an Exhibtion which i am very excited about!

some of you already know about this. others may not! 

I have been working with Clare Carswell a mentor and a really good friend to me. i would actually like to take this chance to thank her for all her hard work and for her faith in me!
If it was'nt for Clare this would'nt be happening and i would'nt be where i am so....

Even though it has been hard work it has been great fun at the same time and has really reset a fire in me. Workig as a Graphic Designer i use photoshope a lot and i am very excited to actually get back to drawing! Me and Clare have been doing some Monoprinting recently which i am very excited to show! and if you can't all make it i may put it on my blog after the show!

This show is almost a out line of what i have be doing for 2 years art wise.

It is about my process and how i make artwork and am still making artwork despite a full time job and always being busy with life stuff.

I have been so busy with this new job AND working on the App game which is coming along very very slow BUT is still very much in the pipe line!...
